One of our users whose laptop was provisioned with mirage, and has been working successfully with it for about a week, called me this morning telling me that it was doing a disk check when she booted it up (this was something new to this user who had no idea what was happening). I told her to let it finish, and when it did, she was able to log on and get about her work. I then noticed that in the Mirage console, her laptop was showing as Pending Restore. What is it that happened to put it in a pending restore status? Should I just select Confirm Restore from the right-click menu? I have not seen this before as I am new to using Mirage. Thank you!
Update: I think I found the answer. In the release notes, it states the following:
- In rare cases in which the data of an internal Horizon Mirage client file had been corrupted, the Horizon Mirage client will enter Pending Assignment or Pending Restore state.
If the device previously had a CVD and it is now Pending restore, use the Force Upload feature to re-sync the device with the CVD by performing an upload of its content into the CVD.
If the device is Pending Assignment, assign a new CVD to it.
I am doing a "Force Upload", although I am curious as to what caused her laptop to perform a disk check, which I guess somehow then corrupted the client file. Keeping my fingers crossed!
